I’ve finished the first draft of my next novel! It’s a thriller called The Assistant, and it’s about a young woman (Jessica) who takes a job at a staffing agency in Seattle, only to discover that the company has a hidden purpose: corporate espionage. If all goes according to plan, Jessica’s story will be a four book series.

Death by Team Building is available today, as are the new paperback editions of the first two Kat Voyzey mysteries. It feels great to have them out in the world after several months of hard work. And I’m 30,000 words into the first draft of my next book! It’s the start to a new series about corporate espionage, more of a thriller than a mystery.

Death by Team Building is ready for publication! Our final paperback proof is in the mail, and once we check it, I can launch the books (and this website). Hooray! By the way, remind me not to work on three books at the same time, that was kinda nuts. 😁 The research for my next series is done, and I’m starting the first draft of book one this week.

After a few months on the road, it’s great to be home in Seattle again! I’ve missed my city, my people, and even my desk. 😊 Death By Team Building is off with my beta readers, giving me a few weeks to work with Patrick on publishing details, like finalizing the paperback versions of the covers for books one and two, and getting this website ready for launch. In addition to the “business stuff” of publishing, I’m researching my next novel. I’d tell you what type of research, but then I’d have to kill you…. (hint, hint)

I’m wrapping up the edits to Death By Team Building in preparation for sending the completed novel to my beta readers. The novel is complete, and I’m putting some finishing touches on the final scene, smoothing out some language here and there, and doing an initial line (grammar & style) edit. I have new covers for all three Kat Voyzey books, and they look fabulous! This is an exciting part of the process, because soon I’ll be able to share the novel with others. 😁
